Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account data: email address, cryptographic password hash, email-verification status, sessions, and policy-acceptance records.
• Current profile data: name, profile picture, professional headline, location, phone details, professional summary, current role and company, years of experience, primary AI specialization, skills, and other information available through the current profile form.
• Legacy profile data: if you previously provided work experience, education, professional links, languages, job preferences, projects, or certifications before those profile fields were removed, those records may remain associated with your account until they are deleted.
• Resume data: uploaded PDF, DOC, or DOCX files and related file metadata.
• Contact and feedback messages: contact details you provide through the contact form, feedback star rating and message, delivery status, and associated technical information such as the source IP used for abuse prevention.
• Activity data: saved jobs, aggregate job-detail view counts, login/session activity, and security events.
• Technical data: IP address, approximate country, browser/device information, request logs, and cookie or local-storage preferences.
• Analytics data: website interactions collected through Google Analytics when enabled under our regional consent flow and your saved preference.
• Advertising data: when advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process cookie identifiers, IP address, device and browser information, ad impressions, interactions, and information about visits to this or other websites.

2. Why we use information

We process information to create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, maintain profiles and resumes, provide saved jobs and filters, detect misuse, troubleshoot the service, communicate essential account messages, measure performance where permitted, display and measure advertising when enabled, comply with law, and improve AIJobFever.

Personalized job matching

Profile matching starts automatically when you provide relevant profile details, unless you turn it off in My Job Matches or your profile. Resume analysis is a separate, optional choice and remains disabled until you allow it. Profile matching uses your skills, specialization, role, and experience. Location filters use the location you choose or your remembered search preferences.

If you allow resume matching and choose Analyze my resume, we read your private uploaded file on our server to detect supported job-related skill names. We do not send your resume to an external AI provider for this feature or retain an additional copy of its extracted text. Detected skill names are stored with your account and may supplement matching; they do not overwrite your profile.

You can withdraw either permission anytime. Withdrawing resume permission deletes detected skill names used for matching, but does not delete your uploaded resume. Replacing or removing the resume clears its derived matching data. Account deletion removes matching preferences and derived skills. You can continue browsing all jobs without allowing matching. Recommendations are estimates, not guarantees of suitability or employment.

Optional AI career guidance

Improve Your Job Matches offers general advice without an account. Personalized AI tips require separate permission, independent of local job-matching settings. If you allow it, we send professional profile fields (role, current company, skills, experience, specialization, location, headline and summary) to Microsoft Foundry; if unavailable, we may use Google Gemini with our server-side API keys. We exclude account name, email, phone and photograph fields from this input.

You may separately allow extracted text from your uploaded resume for these AI tips. Common email addresses, phone numbers and web links are removed where possible, but automated removal is not complete: resume text may still contain personal information. We process readable PDF or DOCX files, use a limited amount of extracted text, and do not store an additional copy of the extracted text. This optional external AI processing differs from local resume skill matching described above.

We store your permission choices and their last-change time, AI-generated suggestions, provider name, input fingerprint and generation time privately with your account. We reuse saved advice until relevant inputs change. Unrelated changes, such as your account photo or email, do not trigger generation. Replacing or removing an included resume, changing these permissions, or withdrawing AI-guidance permission clears saved advice; account deletion removes the guidance record. Withdrawing permission cannot recall data already sent to a provider.

Providers process submitted information under their applicable service terms, security controls and retention practices; processing may take place outside your country. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in your profile or resume. AI tips may be inaccurate and do not guarantee suitability, interviews or employment. You can browse jobs and use general tips without allowing external AI guidance. Generation limits and temporary provider outages may apply.

Personalized interview preparation

The job-page Your skill match summary compares already-loaded job skill names with your profile skills in your browser, using supported aliases and your existing profile-matching choice. It does not call an external AI provider, read your uploaded resume, generate an AI plan or consume your AI allowance. The general job-based preparation guide does not use your candidate information. Optional personalized AI interview preparation is a separate service: it requires explicit permission for that job before professional profile fields and job information are sent to Microsoft Foundry or Google Gemini to generate a private preparation plan. This permission is specific to that job and independent of job-match tips and local matching permissions. We exclude account name, email, phone and photograph fields, remove common contact details and web links from text where possible, and do not read or send your uploaded resume for this feature. Automated redaction cannot remove every personal detail from free-text fields.

We save your permission and change time, generated advice, provider, input fingerprint and generation date privately against your account and that job. Reading saved advice does not generate a new plan. Relevant profile or job changes invalidate the plan; you can request updated advice on the job page. Unrelated account changes do not regenerate it. Turning off permission deletes the saved plan for that job; deleting your account or the job removes its associated plan. Permission withdrawal cannot recall information already sent to a provider.

Personalized plans share your account’s daily AI guidance allowance with job-match tips. Skill comparisons use listed skill names and supported aliases, not a verified assessment of ability. Skills absent from your profile may still be skills you possess. AI-generated practice questions are suggestions, not an employer’s actual questions or a guarantee of suitability or employment. The provider and international-processing considerations described above also apply.

Free AI Resume Studio

The editor at /resume-builder/ processes your entries, PDF previews, Word exports and JSON backups locally in your browser. It does not upload resume entries to our server or an external AI provider, and it does not load advertising or analytics tags. It does not use your account profile or uploaded account resume. The public examples at /resumes are ordinary website pages and use this website’s normal privacy settings.

By default, editor entries remain in memory for the current page. If you choose Remember this draft on this device, we save the current draft in local storage under aijobfever_resume_studio_draft_v1. This may include the contact and career details you enter. It has no automatic expiry; Delete draft, unchecking Remember or clearing browser site data removes the stored copy. Do not enable it on shared devices. JSON backups, PDF and Word downloads remain in your chosen download location and are not deleted by Delete draft or account deletion. Restoring an AIJobFever JSON backup reads the selected file locally. Opening a portfolio or external link sends a request to that destination under its own policy.

Normal hosting logs may record requests for the editor and its static files, but the editor does not send your resume content in those requests. This browser-only feature is separate from uploading a resume to your account and from optional AI guidance described above.

3. Legal grounds

Depending on your location, processing may rely on performing our agreement with you, your consent, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as securing and improving the service. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Cookies, local storage, analytics, and advertising

Necessary browser storage remembers authentication and essential preferences. Where prior consent is required, Google’s certified consent-management message or AIJobFever’s regional privacy prompt manages optional analytics and advertising choices. Google tags receive regional consent defaults before they load and update their behaviour after a choice. When storage is denied, Google restricts cookie use and may process limited, cookieless measurements. In other countries, optional services may be enabled without an initial banner, but you can change available choices through Cookie settings. Rejecting optional cookies does not limit access to jobs or account features.

When Google AdSense is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to AIJobFever or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized ads based on visits to this website and other websites. Depending on your consent, location, and Google’s settings, ads may instead be non-personalized or contextual. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention.

Other third-party advertising vendors or networks selected through Google may also use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can review the providers and purposes in the consent message shown where required. You can change or withdraw eligible choices using the Privacy and cookie settings control provided on the website.

You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and can learn how Google uses information from partner sites in Google’s Business Data Responsibility information. Google may process analytics and advertising data under its own terms; see Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Services that process data for us

• Amazon Web Services: application hosting and private, encrypted profile-picture and resume storage.
• Google Gmail SMTP: verification, password-reset, contact-message, and website-feedback email delivery.
• Google Analytics: usage measurement according to regional consent signals and your saved preference.
• Google AdSense: when enabled, delivery, personalization where permitted, measurement, security, and fraud prevention for advertising.
• Google and participating advertising vendors: where advertising is enabled, the providers disclosed through our consent-management message may process data for the purposes and legal bases displayed there.
• ipwho.is: approximate country detection from an IP address to support location-aware job discovery.
• Employers and job websites: when you choose an external application link, the destination independently receives information according to its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data. Some privacy laws may define certain personalized-advertising disclosures as “sharing” or “targeted advertising”; where those laws apply, we provide the required choices.

6. International processing

Our providers and users may be located in different countries. Information may therefore be processed outside your state or country. We use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the service and applicable law.

7. Retention

Account and profile information is generally retained while your account remains active. When you permanently delete your account, we delete the active account, current and legacy profile records, saved jobs, active sessions, password-reset records, uploaded profile picture and resume, and the job-alert subscription associated with your account email. Contact enquiries and website feedback are maintained separately and are retained only as reasonably needed to respond, improve the service, prevent misuse, and maintain support records. Limited security records, consent records, and residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups or where retention is reasonably required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. One-time codes and reset permissions expire quickly. Google controls retention of analytics and advertising data according to the applicable product configuration and its policies.

8. Security

We use password hashing, authenticated API access, expiring sessions, private encrypted object storage, short-lived download links, file validation, and transport encryption on the main website. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restriction or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, and grievance handling. You can edit the fields available in the current profile form, remove your resume, or permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account. Account deletion requires your current password and an explicit confirmation and cannot be undone.

To access, correct, or delete legacy profile information that is no longer editable through the website without deleting the whole account, email aijobfever@gmail.com. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Where a consent message is presented, you can accept, refuse, or manage available purposes and vendors. You may later reopen Privacy and cookie settings to change or withdraw that choice. You can also manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

10. Children

AIJobFever is intended for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.

11. Updates

We may update this policy when our practices, providers, or legal responsibilities change. The latest version and effective date will appear here. Material changes may require account holders to acknowledge a new version at sign-in.

Public job content and availability checks

We process employer posting text, source links and job-related details with AI tools to organize listings and create public preparation guides. Depending on the publishing workflow, this can use Microsoft Foundry, Google Gemini or locally operated models. Public job-based preparation does not require sending your candidate profile or resume. Optional personalized processing is described above.

We record availability-check times, outcomes and limited source evidence or diagnostic notes to maintain listings. Closed jobs and jobs we cannot verify may be hidden from public view; their records can remain for maintenance and duplicate prevention. Correction and removal requests may contain your contact details and evidence of your relationship to a listing. We use these to investigate and respond, subject to the contact-message retention practices above.

Browser storage details and controls

Cookies and browser local storage are different technologies. Local-storage entries generally have no automatic browser expiry: they remain until the application removes them, you clear site data, or the browser clears them. Clearing storage can sign you out or reset preferences. Browser controls can block third-party cookies independently of this website.

• Sign-in: aijobfever_user_token and aijobfever_user_role store your session token and account role in local storage. Signing out clears these entries; server-side session expiry separately limits access.
• Preferences: aijobfever_job_location_preference_v1, aijobfever_country_preference and account-specific aijobfever_job_view_v1_* entries remember job filters and the selected results view. aijobfever_pending_save_job temporarily remembers a job you chose to save before signing in.
• Country cache: aijobfever_detected_country_v1 caches approximate country information. The application reuses it for up to 12 hours before attempting a fresh lookup; this reuse period does not automatically delete the stored entry.
• Optional-services choice: aijobfever_optional_consent_v2 remembers our custom Accept or Reject choice until changed or cleared. In regions managed by Google’s consent message, that message manages the applicable purposes, vendors and saved choice instead.
• Google Analytics: when enabled, cookies such as _ga and _ga_* distinguish visitors and sessions. Their lifetime depends on Google’s product settings and browser restrictions; Google documents defaults of up to two years for these cookies.
• Google advertising and consent: Google and participating vendors may use their own cookies or storage to record consent, deliver and measure ads, limit repetition and prevent fraud. Names and lifetimes vary by product, vendor, consent and browser. Review the applicable vendors in the consent message and Google’s advertising-cookie information for current details.

Use Cookie settings to change available optional-service choices. We start Google consent signals as denied while location and consent requirements are resolved. Where our regional flow permits optional services without an initial banner, a saved rejection is still respected. If the location check fails, we keep our optional Analytics disabled and leave Google’s consent defaults denied rather than assuming permission. Consent Mode can allow limited cookieless signals; rejecting storage is not a promise of zero requests to Google.

Visitor job-closure reports

You can report a potentially closed job without an account. We store the listing reference, your optional message, report time and review outcome. To limit duplicate reports and abuse, we derive a protected identifier from your network IP address using a server-held key; the reporting feature does not store the raw IP address in its report table. General server security logs may separately contain technical request information. Do not include sensitive personal information in a report.

Reports are visible only to authorized administrators, are reviewed before any manual closure decision, and do not automatically hide a listing. We retain report records as reasonably needed to investigate, prevent misuse and maintain a review history. An administrator’s review time and identifier are recorded when a report is resolved.
