About this role
Veeva Systems seeks a technical product manager to design and deliver AI agent solutions for Vault Medical. The role focuses on making Medical Affairs content workflows more efficient, including medical review, scientific literature publishing, and medical information responses, while supporting compliant health communications.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly design, prototype, configure, and validate solutions; write actionable specifications and requirements for engineering teams, and iterate on implementations.
- Lead the design of production-ready AI agent applications using data flow orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and complex prompt engineering.
- Identify high-impact Medical Affairs use cases for LLMs, accounting for the probabilistic nature of AI. Define and track KPIs that demonstrate value and return on investment.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Product Management, and UX to build intuitive solutions that work across Veeva applications; communicate AI concepts and business value to Legal, Medical, and Regulatory stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise software product management, engineering, or consulting experience, plus 2+ years of hands-on work with AI/ML applications, particularly LLMs and generative AI.
- Strong Python coding skills; experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and with APIs; understanding of data flow design, prompt engineering, model fine-tuning for regulated content, and data modeling using ERDs.
- Ability to work independently amid ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Must be based in an Eastern Standard Time zone region and legally authorized to work in the USA or Canada.
Preferred
Experience with Veeva Vault Medical; familiarity with scientific literature planning, authoring, review, submissions, or publishing; or experience in a data science, machine learning, or data engineering role.
Work arrangement and compensation: Veeva’s Work Anywhere policy allows work from home or an office, with core hours for collaboration. Listed base pay is $75,000–$165,000; actual pay may vary, and variable or stock bonuses may also apply.
