Within its Advanced Engineering AI center of excellence, the role leads business-sponsored generative AI initiatives from concept through production and collaborates with software engineers, data engineers and investment professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI tools using structured and alternative data, and design multi-agent workflows and reasoning loops that turn LLMs into goal-oriented agents. The team uses tools including Copilot Studio, LangGraph, Cortex and AgentCore.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks and gold-standard datasets to assess the performance, faithfulness and accuracy of generative outputs. Conduct systematic testing, including RAG evaluation and stress testing, against financial-services compliance and reliability standards.
  • Create reusable patterns, prompt templates, agentic harnesses, skills and subagents to help scale development across technology teams, using tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
  • Work with full-stack engineers to integrate models into business workflows and turn notebook experiments into functional microservices. Apply prompt engineering, fine-tuning and multi-agent techniques to business problems.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of demonstrated data science or machine learning experience, with a strong emphasis on NLP and generative AI.
  • Strong Python and cloud-native development skills, clean modular coding practices, and comfort with Docker, CI/CD and DevSecOps. Familiarity with evaluation metrics and datasets for model validation and testing is expected.
  • Exposure to, or strong interest in learning, LangGraph, LangChain, Copilot Studio or AgentCore with Strands; proactive use of AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor; and an interest in data engineering and full-stack development with the ability to respond to sprint feedback.

The full-time position lists Atlanta, Georgia, and Houston, Texas. Invesco describes a hybrid schedule requiring at least four full days each week in an office under its workplace model as of October 1, 2025.
