About this role
Suno is hiring an early member of its research team to help build and deploy machine learning models for its AI music platform. The Machine Learning Scientist will work closely with the founding team, own technical decisions across the model lifecycle, and conduct research using substantial H100 computing resources; Suno states an H100-to-scientist ratio of greater than 100:1.
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Design, train, evaluate and deploy machine learning models, with familiarity across the full data engineering and model-development stack.
- Independently own research projects from start to finish.
- Bring 5+ years of experience training state-of-the-art models with distributed PyTorch and extensive experience training large generative models from scratch, such as LLMs or diffusion models.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Preferred
A love of listening to, exploring or making music is a significant plus.
The role is full-time and on-site in Boston or San Francisco. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Annual salary is $207,454–$394,800, plus target equity and benefits.
