About this role
Lead enterprise AI governance at HP, providing strategic direction to managers and senior contributors while aligning engineering solutions, platform operations and investment decisions with business goals and technology roadmaps. The role coordinates federated teams and partners, manages resources and budgets, and drives process improvement, standards and team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI Digital strategy, portfolio prioritization, governance cadence, funding guardrails and executive reporting across steering committees and delivery groups.
- Govern GitHub Copilot usage caps, credits, access, model and feature controls, alerts and exceptions. Oversee OpenAI, ChatGPT and Codex provisioning and costs, and Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio licensing, agent governance, environments and knowledge-source controls.
- Establish AI-product financial controls, including cost-center mapping, chargeback, allocation rules, budget thresholds, usage reporting and Finance/Procurement reviews.
- Operate the Digital AI Nerve Center for use-case intake, qualification, security and privacy review, stage gates, prioritization, funding, delivery handoff, risk escalation and benefits realization, using ServiceNow workflows where applicable.
- Manage technology and consulting partners; coordinate AI SDLC work, hackathons, pilots and adoption programs. Produce monthly dashboards on adoption, spending, capacity, exceptions, risks, delivery and realized business value.
Qualifications
- Progressive experience in enterprise AI strategy, governance, administration, platform operations or technology portfolio management; experience with SaaS, cloud, developer, productivity and generative AI platforms, plus FinOps, licensing, budgeting, consumption management and chargeback.
- Strong experience in demand intake, value tracking, security, privacy, responsible AI, risk, compliance, executive communication, vendor management and enterprise transformation. Customer centricity, prioritization, resilience, team management and strategic thinking are also identified.
- Recommended: a four-year or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or commensurate experience or demonstrated competence; typically 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools or a related field. Preferred platform background includes GitHub Enterprise/Copilot, OpenAI Enterprise/ChatGPT/Codex, Microsoft 365 Copilot/Copilot Studio, ServiceNow demand management, AI Control Tower, AI SDLC and executive dashboarding.
This is a full-time role listed in Spring or Austin, Texas. The annual US pay range is $174,050–$275,000, with additional opportunities for bonus and/or equity; pay varies by location, knowledge, skills and experience.
