01

Understand the role

What matters most

  • Define operational objectives with stakeholders

The role works with product, engineering, operations and risk to turn operational needs into objectives and product deliverables. Prepare to explain how you would align those groups around a measurable NLP use case.

  • Choose and build the right language capability

The posting names intelligent search, summarization, classification and next-best-action recommendations, with LLM-based methods where appropriate. Prepare to discuss how you would select an approach and contribute hands-on across model and product development.

  • Deliver production-grade performance

Rigorous evaluation and reliable, secure, scalable operation are explicit expectations. Prepare to connect model metrics and systems decisions to performance in real workflows, not just offline results.

  • Improve outcomes after deployment

The role calls for better data quality and feedback loops, production monitoring and iteration to reduce agent effort and resolution times while improving consistency and quality. Prepare to explain how you would detect a shortfall, assess its cause and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Choosing sophistication only when it helps

Potential challenge: an LLM-based approach may offer stronger language capability but add complexity to operating it reliably and securely. Prepare a comparison with simpler approaches using task-specific metrics and production constraints; this is a preparation hypothesis, not a reported Chase issue.

  • Connecting model scores to workflow gains

Potential challenge: better search or summarization metrics may not translate into less agent effort or faster resolution. Prepare to describe how you would evaluate both output quality and the operational outcomes named in the posting, including possible trade-offs between them.

  • Iterating without disrupting consistency

Potential challenge: feedback may reveal opportunities to improve a deployed model, while changes could affect workflow consistency or quality. Prepare to explain how monitoring, data-quality checks and evaluation would inform an update before and after release.
