About this role
Ramp seeks an Applied AI Engineer to build production AI applications for its finance platform, which supports payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and book closing. The role is based in New York, NY (HQ) or San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver full-stack AI projects end to end, including work on AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, structured extraction, and internal tools for customer-facing teams.
- Build and integrate AI infrastructure for production-level LLM inference and model fine-tuning.
- Improve engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale AI solutions, and create internal platforms that help Ramp’s AI and engineering teams work more effectively.
Requirements
- Proficiency in full-stack development, including web frameworks, backend systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- A track record of full-stack AI projects involving production LLM use cases, plus experience building backend systems and infrastructure for AI-driven products. No specific number of years or education requirement is stated.
Compensation and benefits: The listed compensation is $204.4K–$352K, with equity offered; final compensation depends on hiring location and level.
