About this role
The AI Product Owner will drive SCAN’s agentic AI platform, turning business needs into requirements, validated features, and measurable outcomes. The role works with engineering, product, business, and compliance teams to deliver scalable AI solutions for an organization focused on care for older adults.
Responsibilities
- Gather, refine, and prioritize requirements for platform features and agents; maintain the feature backlog and make AI-versus-non-AI implementation trade-offs.
- Identify recurring organizational processes that could benefit from AI and translate them into actionable feature proposals and engineering specifications.
- Roadmap capabilities involving workflows, scheduling, triggers, integrations, APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and knowledge and data management. Support integration with internal and external data sources and services.
- Define acceptance criteria, KPIs, and test strategies; oversee validation, test coverage, reliability, performance metrics, and AI evaluations.
- Maintain documentation for requirements, workflows, APIs, agents, and testing, and share technical knowledge across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Deep proficiency in AI platform architecture, agentic orchestration, workflow automation, and context engineering; familiarity with vectors, embeddings, knowledge representation, and knowledge graphs or graph RAG.
- Proficiency with Azure AI Studio, Azure ML, Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, API Management Gateway, MCP Gateway, AI Search Service, Snowflake, and Databricks. Strong communication, stakeholder management, change leadership, and complex AI test-strategy skills are also sought.
Preferred background includes relevant AI platform and tool experience; healthcare, particularly a health plan or payer environment, regulated-industry, or enterprise-scale AI experience; and SAFe Agile or equivalent product ownership certification. Azure AI or other cloud AI certifications are preferred, while data engineering, machine learning, or AI solution architecture certifications are a plus.
The full-time role is listed at Long Beach Office 3800 with a hybrid designation. Base salary is $106,200–$182,983 annually.
