About this role

The AI Consultant joins the AIX Digital Business Innovation team in Siemens Energy’s Gas Services organization, delivering practical AI solutions across GS Distributed business functions. The position is based in Houston, Texas, with a hybrid remote/office arrangement.

Responsibilities

Deliver AI use cases from scoping and prototyping through deployment and adoption, working with domain AI Leads and business stakeholders in Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Field Service, Finance, and Procurement.
Build AI-powered applications and agents using tools including VS Code, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, prompt engineering, and low-/no-code platforms. Develop proofs of concept and advance promising solutions toward scaled deployment.
Support citizen developers through AI-assisted rapid application builds and help business users adopt AI tools. Translate workflows and business problems into working solutions, collaborating with technical teams when deeper engineering is needed.
Identify reusable patterns, components, and best practices across projects; contribute to the AIX AI roadmap. Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support alignment and adoption.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Hands-on experience building AI-enabled solutions with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, low-/no-code platforms, or similar tools; practical experience in prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, or rapid prototyping.
Ability to turn business needs into delivered digital or AI solutions, work across multiple business domains, and manage stakeholder communication. The role calls for adaptability, experimentation, and iterative delivery.
Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, or Microsoft 365 is a plus.
