About this role
Honeywell is seeking a Data Scientist II to develop and deploy analytics and machine learning solutions for audit, enterprise risk management, cybersecurity, compliance and fraud detection. Reporting to the Director of IT and Cybersecurity Audit, the role follows a full-time, hybrid schedule at Honeywell’s Charlotte headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Lead audit analytics initiatives aligned with SOX, GDPR, NIST and PCI DSS, including scoping, probabilistic modeling, testing and reporting.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data warehouses using Snowflake and Databricks. Develop risk and fraud models for key risk indicators, risk scoring, anomaly detection and fraud prevention, using visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- Build and optimize classification and regression models; explain predictions with SHAP and LIME; monitor performance and drift, and retrain models as needed. Use Spark for large-scale processing and implement CI/CD pipelines for analytics and machine learning workflows.
- Use security tools including Splunk, Defender, SentinelOne and Qualys. Apply generative and agentic AI to audit use cases, integrating ServiceNow, Azure AI, large language models and natural language processing for summarization and insights.
Required experience: At least 5 years in data science, audit analytics, risk analytics, fraud analytics or a related field. The posting also requires at least 3 years each in predictive or machine learning model development; data pipelines, ETL, business intelligence, visualization or data warehousing; and applying analytics to enterprise risk, business, audit, compliance, cybersecurity or fraud problems.
Preferred qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; Python and SQL; relevant audit frameworks, explainable AI, model lifecycle management, cloud platforms and AI technologies.
