AI Automation & Solutions Architect

Broadview Federal Credit Union · Albany, United States of America

About this role

Broadview Federal Credit Union is establishing its first dedicated AI function. The AI Automation & Solutions Architect will identify and deliver measurable automation improvements across existing business processes, working with operational teams rather than focusing on research or custom application development.

Responsibilities

  • Discover and rank opportunities across mortgage, consumer lending, deposit operations, the contact center, back office, finance and branches, capturing baseline cycle times, volumes and error rates.
  • Design and deliver intelligent document processing for high-volume workflows. Decide when to configure an existing platform, automate in Workato, apply an LLM or partner with the AI Full-Stack Engineer on an in-house build; document the rationale and expected return.
  • Build multi-system workflows with exception handling, human approvals and API routing. Set measurement plans before launch and report changes in processing time, volume, errors and staff hours returned afterward.
  • Train affected teams, write runbooks and support adoption. Work with Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit on model risk, third-party risk, fair lending and BSA/AML reviews.

Success measures: Within 30 days, inventory opportunities in at least four business units with measured baselines. Within 90 days, deploy solutions, substantially reduce document review time against baseline and automate at least two additional back-office workflows end to end, with results for executive and board reporting. In the first year, establish a measured automation pipeline and reusable pattern library.

Required: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Data Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or Machine Learning (Artificial Intelligence); 6+ years in solution architecture, business process automation, intelligent automation or automation-focused consulting; and a portfolio demonstrating delivered automations and their impact. Candidates need hands-on enterprise iPaaS or automation-platform experience, production-volume document classification and extraction experience, practical LLM and prompt-design skills, technical fluency with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication, SQL and Python or JavaScript, and consultative skills. Workato is strongly preferred; transferable depth in MuleSoft, Boomi, Power Automate or UiPath is acceptable. Databricks, Anthropic and AWS experience are pluses.

Preferred

Financial services and regulated-institution risk experience, Lean or Six Sigma training, core banking or loan-origination automation experience, and a Workato or equivalent platform credential. Compensation is $115,000-$150,000 plus a benefits package. Bilingual applicants fluent in English and another language are encouraged to apply.
