Senior AI Engineer

Sea Corporate Lab is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build agentic capabilities for a core enterprise product, turning it into an intelligent assistant that can understand context and act on users’ behalf. The engineer will work closely with a Product Manager on technical feasibility and product direction, either as a hands-on individual contributor or in a team lead capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and end-to-end development of AI agent products, including copilot and automation features. Build scalable frameworks for multi-step reasoning, tool and function calling, memory, and orchestration across multiple LLMs and services.
• Own technical design, model selection and fine-tuning, evaluation, production deployment, and monitoring. Balance reliability, latency, accuracy, and cost at scale.
• Mentor junior engineers, establish practices for prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and agent evaluation, and develop reusable AI infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend/infrastructure, and security teams to deliver robust, safe features that meet data governance requirements. Identify relevant advances in LLMs and agentic AI for the product roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building AI/ML or LLM-powered systems in production.
• Deep expertise in LLM applications, including prompt engineering, RAG, agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen, tool/function calling, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong machine learning and deep learning foundation; practical experience with model fine-tuning, evaluation, and optimization. Proven delivery of AI-powered products from prototype to production, strong system design, independent technical decision-making, and effective communication and collaboration.

Preferred

A master’s degree and experience with enterprise SaaS, productivity platforms, or AI copilot products. The role is based in Singapore.
