About this role
The Manager, AI & Trust Research will help lead IMDA’s Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) efforts in AI, trust technologies and cross-domain research in Singapore. The role focuses on turning research into business opportunities, shaping research programmes and advancing Singapore’s technology thought leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop research-to-business strategies aligned with national strategic interests. Prepare RIE funding initiatives and theories of success for research programmes.
- Build collaborations with Institutes of Higher Learning and Research Institutes; develop international partnerships with research communities and organisations.
- Represent Singapore and/or IMDA at research and technology forums and standards-setting committees. Lead efforts to translate research findings into viable business opportunities.
- Monitor global technology developments and advise senior leadership on policy recommendations, emerging value and anticipated risks. Communicate perspectives through blogs, social media and papers.
Requirements
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5–8 years of experience managing technology teams in research and/or engineering, plus familiarity with the RIE ecosystem.
- Strategic thinking, a collaborative approach, strong stakeholder management with local and overseas partners, and excellent written, verbal, presentation and engagement skills.
This is a full-time position in Singapore. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified; the position will commensurate with experience.
