Understand the role

What matters most

  • AI Integration and Literacy Strategy

The core mandate is to design and scale learning frameworks that foster AI proficiency across all departments. You must demonstrate the ability to translate technical AI concepts into accessible training pathways that address specific organizational skill gaps.

  • Strategic Stakeholder Alignment

You will work directly with leadership to forecast talent requirements and map capability growth. Success depends on your ability to influence senior stakeholders and align L&D initiatives with broader business performance goals.

  • End-to-End Learning Lifecycle Management

You are responsible for the full spectrum of L&D, from conducting initial gap analyses to delivering blended learning experiences and measuring impact through defined KPIs. This requires a balance of instructional design expertise and operational project management.

  • Vendor and Ecosystem Management

Managing relationships with external training vendors, tech partners, and academic institutions is essential to ensure content quality. You must also align internal programs with national upskilling agendas and international standards.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Balancing Global Standards with Local Needs

As you coordinate with the International L&D team while operating in a Singapore-based multinational environment, you may face friction between standardized global content and the specific cultural or operational requirements of the local workforce. Prepare to discuss how you maintain quality benchmarks while ensuring local relevance.

  • Measuring Tangible AI Impact

Defining KPIs for AI literacy is inherently difficult because the impact on business performance can be abstract. Be prepared to explain how you move beyond vanity metrics like participation rates to demonstrate actual skill acquisition and improved operational efficiency.

  • Managing Resistance to Digital Transformation

Introducing AI integration across all departments often meets resistance from employees concerned about job security or workflow disruption. Prepare to discuss your change management strategies for fostering a digital-first mindset in a diverse, multi-cultural workforce.
