Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer

DSO National Laboratories seeks an Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer in its Information Division, which develops capabilities for Singapore’s defence and national security. Responsibilities

• Research state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques in adversarial AI and AI security.
• Develop AI/ML techniques and tools to detect and assess malicious or emerging attacks and threats, and to secure AI systems against them.
• Apply knowledge of machine learning, cybersecurity, adversarial AI and AI assurance to bridge AI research and secure system engineering and deployment.
• Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders across the AI lifecycle, from threat modelling and red teaming through delivery of secure AI models and systems.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Python AI frameworks.
• Experience in AI/ML research and development, Agentic AI, and adversarial AI techniques and tools.
