AI Architect (On-Premises Agentic Stack)

DSO National Laboratories’ Digital Division seeks an AI Architect to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of a full-stack, on-premises AI agentic system. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), the architect will turn enterprise requirements and business strategies into technical blueprints, implementation plans and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, end-to-end architecture and deployment of high-performance on-premises AI infrastructure.
• Design and maintain autonomous multi-agent systems and orchestration frameworks.
• Work with risk, compliance and security teams to establish guardrails and controls for on-premises AI.
• Address bare-metal deployment, GPU compute clusters, specialized networking and containerized orchestration; assess emerging capabilities for the technology stack.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science and at least 8 years of enterprise systems architecture experience, including leadership of engineering teams and ownership of large-scale infrastructure projects. The posting lists an overall experience range of 8–12 years.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing and scaling end-to-end AI technology stacks; proficiency with open-source LLMs, local agentic orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen or CrewAI, Docker, Kubernetes and local MLOps toolchains.
• Ability to communicate openly and translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• At least one professional, expert-level architecture certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or TOGAF.
