About this role
Join a founding engineering team building production-ready AI products and platforms for enterprises and startups. The role focuses on end-to-end applications powered by large language models and generative AI. It is full-time and remote-first in India, based in Bengaluru; travel to client locations and work on-site there may be required according to business needs. Immediate joiners only.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including embedding, retrieval, prompting, response processing and evaluation workflows.
- Integrate LLM providers, develop AI orchestration layers, and create scalable APIs and backend services.
- Design evaluation frameworks covering model quality, latency, cost and safety. Work with GenAI Architects to turn designs into production-ready systems.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude Code; participate in code reviews and help establish engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong Python skills and production experience with LLM, generative AI or machine learning systems; hands-on experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of vector databases and semantic search, experience building REST APIs and scalable backend services, and familiarity with AWS, GCP or Azure. Strong debugging, problem-solving and system design skills are required.
- The detailed requirements specify 2–7 years of software engineering experience; the posting metadata lists 2–5 years. Educational qualifications are a B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech or M.S. from a Tier-1 institute or reputed regional engineering college.
Preferred experience includes fine-tuning with LoRA or QLoRA; Hugging Face Transformers and PyTorch; LLM observability tools such as LangSmith, Langfuse or Phoenix; agentic or multi-agent systems; and data or ML engineering.
