01

Understand the role

What matters most

  • Multi-tenant Platform Strategy

The role requires driving the roadmap for the mROC platform, which serves MSSPs and channel partners. You must prioritize scalable design, including multi-tenant data models, RBAC/SSO, and workflow orchestration, ensuring the platform meets the complex needs of diverse partner organizations.

  • AI-First Product Development

You are expected to lead with an AI-first mindset, utilizing AI tools to accelerate documentation and prototyping. A core priority is embedding agentic AI and intelligent recommendations into the platform to enhance analyst workflows and risk query capabilities.

  • Cross-Regional Leadership and Mentorship

As the Pune-based product anchor, you must mentor the local team while maintaining tight alignment with US-based leadership. This requires balancing hands-on execution with the ability to influence and coordinate delivery across a globally distributed organization.

  • Cybersecurity Domain Expertise

You must translate complex cybersecurity concepts—specifically in vulnerability management, risk prioritization, or SOC/MDR operations—into actionable requirements. Aligning these technical product decisions with partner economics and revenue growth is essential for the role's success.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Balancing Technical Complexity with Usability

The mROC platform involves deep technical complexity, such as integrating with ServiceNow, Jira, and CMDBs. The challenge is to simplify these intricate cybersecurity workflows into intuitive, high-quality user experiences for MSSP analysts without sacrificing platform power.

  • Managing Distributed Product Alignment

Coordinating day-to-day delivery between a Pune-based engineering team and US-based product/GTM leadership can create communication gaps. Prepare by demonstrating your experience in managing stakeholder expectations across time zones and ensuring consistent product vision.

  • Validating Agentic AI Utility

Integrating agentic AI into security workflows carries high expectations for reliability and accuracy. You will face the challenge of validating these AI-driven features through prototypes to ensure they provide genuine value to partners rather than just automation for its own sake.
