General Mills is seeking a Sr. ML Engineer (Agentic Engineer) to join the Digital & Technology AI and Automation (AIA) organization in Mumbai. This role focuses on building next-generation Agentic AI and ML platforms to drive data-driven decision-making at scale. Responsibilities include leading the enablement and integration of agentic AI platforms, developing custom connectors for enterprise applications, designing robust APIs, and managing complex agent orchestration workflows. You will also be responsible for monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering for agentic systems, including implementing telemetry for agent quality, safety, and ROI. Key duties involve researching and standardizing ML tooling, conducting performance tuning, and leading agile Proof of Concepts (POCs). Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field and 5-8 years of progressive experience in software or platform engineering, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks. Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, or Go) and experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) are essential. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with the CPG industry, MLOps principles, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to mentor junior engineers and drive technical best practices.
