Senior Analyst - Supply Chain Advanced Analytics

The Senior Analyst - Supply Chain Advanced Analytics uses data science to solve supply chain challenges at General Mills. Based in Powai, Mumbai, MH, this is a hybrid, full-time role requiring a 1.30 pm to 10.30 pm shift.

Responsibilities

• Translate supply chain objectives into analytical scopes, assess data feasibility, and define success criteria. Cleanse and explore data to identify trends and root causes; develop descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive solutions using statistical, optimization, and machine learning models.
• Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis. Independently manage moderately complex projects, automate modeling, remove redundant workflows, and mentor analysts by validating their analytical deliverables.
• Address planning questions involving supply, production, capacity, demand, inventory, make-versus-buy decisions, service levels, and cost trade-offs. Analyze procurement efficiency, supplier sustainability, carbon footprints, and financial, geopolitical, and environmental, social, and governance risks.
• Support manufacturing performance and waste reduction through failure-mode analysis, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and downtime analysis. Work on network design, facility location, distribution, transportation, route optimization, cross-docking, and replenishment strategies. Connect priorities across Plan, Make, Source, and Deliver, considering service, cost of goods sold, and waste.

Minimum qualifications:

• A full-time bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Analytics, engineering, statistics, or a related quantitative field, plus 3+ years of related supply chain analytics experience.
• Python, Dash or similar visualization tools, SQL, cloud platforms such as BigQuery, statistical modeling, optimization, machine learning, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, visualization, and business storytelling.

Preferred qualifications and eligibility:

• Experience with an optimization tool such as Supply Chain Guru, Optilogic, or AnyLogic is nice to have. Postgraduate study in Industrial Engineering, statistics, or Supply Chain operations and professional certifications in supply chain or data science are preferred.
