About this role
General Mills seeks an advanced analytics analyst to help its supply chain teams make decisions about manufacturing and distribution network design, sourcing, inventory, and capacity. The hybrid role lists Powai, Mumbai, MH and Mumbai Spectra Office as locations and requires a 1:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. shift. The analyst will work with global and India supply chain partners on strategic projects, capability development, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Turn business questions into analytical problem statements, solution approaches, and measurable success criteria. Gather, validate, clean, and analyze data, identifying issues and root causes before modeling.
- Build, refresh, and improve optimization, simulation, predictive, or statistical models. Run what-if scenarios comparing sourcing, production, distribution, inventory, and capacity alternatives.
- Interpret results and present clear, quantitative recommendations to business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Support implementation, transition, documentation, training, and ongoing governance, while contributing to testing, process improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field, plus at least 1 year of experience in supply chain analytics, operations research, data analytics, or a related area.
- Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and the ability to apply at least one of optimization, statistics, predictive analytics, or simulation to business problems. Experience building analytical models or solutions using Python, R, SQL, Excel-based macros, or comparable software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills; self-direction, adaptability, accountability, and comfort collaborating across functions and locations.
Preferred qualifications
A master’s degree in supply chain, operations research, industrial engineering, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field; and a professional certification such as APICS, Certified Supply Chain Professional, Certified in Planning and Inventory Management, Six Sigma, or a comparable credential. Applicants must meet the minimum age qualifications in the country where the job is located.
