01

Understand the role

What matters most

  • Enterprise GenAI and LLM Integration

The primary focus is embedding generative AI capabilities, including LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and autonomous agents, into core business software. Preparation should center on demonstrating how to interface with APIs like Azure OpenAI or OpenAI, structure retrieval pipelines using vector stores, and build production-ready agentic workflows.

  • Full Stack Architecture and Service Delivery

A core duty is designing scalable end-to-end applications spanning responsive frontends (React or Angular) and robust backend microservices (Python, Java, or .NET). Prepare to discuss decoupling frontend rendering from AI inference, building clean RESTful interfaces, and maintaining resilient data modeling across SQL and NoSQL storage.

  • Cloud Deployment and DevOps Automation

The role requires deploying, optimizing, and supporting systems on hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, or GCP) utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Preparation should emphasize containerized deployment strategies, continuous integration best practices, and operational troubleshooting for high-availability enterprise services.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Technical Consulting

As a Senior Consultant, the role necessitates partnering with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, AI Engineers, and product stakeholders while upholding code quality and security standards. Candidates should be prepared to discuss leading code reviews, aligning AI system constraints with business requirements, and driving engineering governance.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Bridging LLM Latency and Interactive Web UX

Integrating generative AI responses into real-time web applications often introduces unpredictable latency, token rate limits, and streaming overhead that clash with standard responsive UI expectations. Prepare to articulate architectural patterns such as asynchronous job processing, streaming responses via WebSockets or Server-Sent Events, client-side caching, and graceful fallback states.

  • Maintaining Grounding and Quality in RAG Pipelines

Production RAG workflows frequently suffer from retrieval noise, chunking mismatches, hallucinated model outputs, and degraded response precision in enterprise contexts. Prepare by reviewing vector indexing strategies, semantic chunking trade-offs, reranking techniques, and automated evaluation frameworks to ensure factual and deterministic results.

  • Securing GenAI Integrations within Enterprise Microservices

Enterprise deployments face critical security concerns including prompt injection, sensitive data leakage through API calls, and missing role-based access control around proprietary embeddings. Prepare to explain defensive architectures such as input validation guards, API gateway token filtering, enterprise IAM enforcement, and secure data handling across third-party AI endpoints.

03
