Digital Product Manager (AI)

Amgen is seeking a Digital Product Manager to join the AI & Data Innovation Lab. This role focuses on rapidly validating high-potential AI and data-driven business opportunities to determine which initiatives should be scaled, refined, paused, or redirected. You will operate at the intersection of business strategy, AI product innovation, and enterprise transformation, providing strategic leadership across cross-functional opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute rapid discovery sprints, prototypes, pilots, and experiments to assess feasibility, viability, and risk.
• Identify and frame AI-enabled business opportunities, translating themes into testable hypotheses and success metrics.
• Assess the application of LLMs, AI agents, machine learning, and NLP to improve operational efficiency and scientific discovery.
• Evaluate data foundations, system integrations, and security controls for scalable AI solutions.
• Partner with engineering and data science teams to align on execution paths and trade-offs.
• Synthesize findings into executive-ready narratives, business cases, and product recommendations.
• Ensure validation efforts account for responsible AI, data privacy, compliance, and human oversight.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate; OR Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience includes Information Systems, Technology, Product, Digital, AI, Data, or Business Transformation.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management, strategy, or consulting experience.
• 2+ years of experience with AI, machine learning, or enterprise AI solutions.
• Familiarity with generative AI, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, and MLOps.
• Experience with biotech workflows such as lab automation or clinical data.
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership.
