01

Understand the role

What matters most

  • Own the solution approach

The role leads solution discussions across WAM and Capital Markets and contributes to roadmaps, estimates, proposals and leadership updates. Prepare to explain how you would turn business goals into a feasible approach with clear decisions and delivery stages.

  • Assure order and trade data flows

EY calls for oversight of multi-asset data mapping, lineage, reconciliation, quality controls and exception handling. Prepare to walk through how you would review a consolidated order/trade data flow and its validation strategy.

  • Lead BA delivery and governance

The manager defines requirements strategy, plans, review cadence and sign-off paths, while managing risks, changes and escalations. Prepare to show how you would maintain consistent, reviewable outputs across analysts and coach the team.

  • Embed practical AI in delivery

The role identifies GenAI use cases, reusable prompts and documentation accelerators while promoting responsible AI practices. Prepare to distinguish a useful BA workflow improvement from an AI use case that still needs human review.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Reaching decisions across stakeholders

Likely challenge (inference): senior business stakeholders may want rapid progress while architecture and delivery teams need feasibility and dependency decisions. Prepare a method for documenting options, trade-offs, owners and sign-off without leaving key requirements ambiguous.

  • Balancing data completeness and delivery pace

Likely challenge (inference): multi-asset order/trade integrations can require detailed lineage, reconciliation and exception rules even when timelines press for implementation. Prepare to explain which controls and validation evidence you would prioritize before sign-off.

  • Using AI without weakening review

Likely challenge (inference): AI-assisted documentation may save time but introduce inaccuracies into requirements or mappings. Prepare to describe bounded use cases, human review and how you would check whether an accelerator improves delivery quality.
