Valeo is seeking a Software Architect to join their R&D team in Chennai. This role focuses on designing and architecting software frameworks for automotive SoC systems, with a strong emphasis on computer vision and deep learning applications for autonomous driving. Responsibilities: Define and architect software frameworks for automotive SoC systems, ensuring performance, power efficiency, and safety compliance. Lead the design and development of software components, ensuring adherence to standards like ISO 26262. Conduct performance analysis, optimize for real-time constraints, and contribute to algorithm design reviews. Perform state-of-the-art research into deep learning and computer vision methodologies. Provide technical expertise to algorithm and embedded leads for CV/DL functions. Support intellectual property activities, including patent applications, and represent Valeo at industry working groups and conferences. Collaborate with safety engineers to conduct risk assessments and develop safety-critical components. Requirements: Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming. Experience with rapid prototyping tools like Enterprise Architect and requirements management tools like DOORS. Solid understanding of fundamental computer vision algorithms and image processing. Familiarity with automotive standards such as AUTOSAR and ISO 26262, and communication protocols including CAN and Ethernet. Excellent research experience and communication skills in English.
