Data Scientist

Metayb seeks a Data Scientist for its ALG Chennai location to lead enterprise-scale machine learning, operations research (OR), and process mining solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead solution design and delivery from business problem identification through production deployment. Run discovery workshops, define analytical requirements, and translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Develop and optimize classification, clustering, anomaly detection, time-series forecasting, graph analytics, and prescriptive optimization models. Analyze event data through process mining to identify inefficiencies, investigate root causes, and recommend improvements to operational KPIs.
• Establish production MLOps practices covering CI/CD, model versioning, experiment tracking, automated testing, monitoring, observability, Responsible AI, and Explainable AI. Define evaluation frameworks and validate performance through benchmarking, A/B testing, and shadow deployments.
• Work with data and software engineers to integrate models into cloud-based enterprise platforms, including Celonis, Signavio, and Databricks. Mentor data scientists, lead architectural decisions and reviews, develop reusable frameworks and documentation, and collaborate with partners on proof-of-concepts. Present insights and recommendations to business and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline; 6+ years in applied data science, machine learning, or OR.
• Demonstrated delivery of at least three end-to-end production machine learning or OR solutions with measurable business impact. Strong software engineering and production ML knowledge, analytical and problem-solving abilities, communication, stakeholder management, and ability to work independently and across teams. Listed required skills are SQL, Python, and Azure AI.
