Data Analyst/Scientist

PwC seeks a Data Analyst/Scientist for its Advisory government transformation practice in Bhopal, MP. The posting identifies the grade as Consultant/Senior Consultant and the management level as Senior Associate. The full-time role supports government clients across multiple engagements and involves taking ownership of assigned project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Identify data sources and analyze information to support operational improvement, fraud detection, tax-evasion analysis and policy decisions. Develop a long-term roadmap for using data analytics and AI to improve decision-making.
• Help select business intelligence tools and create dashboards. Conduct spatial, predictive and historical trend analyses, including analyses by revenue, locality, time period and other attributes. Extract, interpret and visualize data to support revenue improvement, compliance and policy inputs.
• Develop a data monetization strategy and implementation plan. Build machine learning models for forecasting and trends, and use OCR to capture data from bulk PDF and image files for analysis.
• Collate information from stakeholders, prepare reports and present findings to senior authorities. Apply measures such as running and cumulative totals, prior-period comparisons, and year-over-year and month-over-month growth or decline.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience, including 3 years on data analytics, data mining or data management projects. Proven analytics, mining, evaluation and visualization skills; experience writing technical queries, reports and presentations.
• Strong programming experience with Java, C#, R or Python and ETL; strong PL/SQL and T-SQL skills; and experience with statistical or BI tools such as SPSS, SAS, Power BI or Tableau. The posting lists SQL, Oracle, dashboarding and BI among both its mandatory and preferred skills.
• B.E., B.Tech., MCA or M.Sc. in computer science or IT, or an equivalent or higher qualification. Strong written and verbal communication, independent problem-solving, comfort with ambiguity and ability to work with senior government clients are required.
