About this role
As a Senior Staff AI Engineer at GE Vernova, you will lead enterprise full-stack and AI platform development at scale. You will be responsible for designing and shipping microservices and REST APIs, building RAG and multimodal LLM features, and establishing standards for AI-assisted development. You will own technical decisions end-to-end, balancing reliability, performance, and cloud costs. Responsibilities include designing agentic workflows, mentoring engineers, driving Agile practices, and implementing observability for AI features. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; 8+ years of experience with Python (preferred), Java, or Go; front-end experience with JavaScript/TypeScript; proven track record shipping production applications incorporating LLMs, RAG, and AI services; experience leading technical teams and managing external vendors; strong cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) skills. Preferred Qualifications: 13+ years of experience in AI/ML with architectural design and system optimization; experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular); expertise in vector databases (Milvus, Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector) and embedding model optimization; experience with AI-orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and scaling AI features for 100k+ users.
