01

Understand the role

What matters most

  • Production-Ready AI Integration

The role requires moving beyond experimental AI to building scalable, reliable systems within Dynamics 365. You must demonstrate the ability to integrate LLMs and agentic workflows into enterprise-grade SaaS applications while maintaining high performance and availability.

  • Full-Stack Engineering Excellence

You are expected to own the end-to-end lifecycle of features, from front-end UX components using React/TypeScript to back-end service architecture on Azure. Balancing robust software engineering fundamentals with AI-specific tasks is critical.

  • MLOps and Operational Rigor

Success depends on your ability to manage the full AI lifecycle, including model retraining, evaluation, prompt engineering, and continuous monitoring. You must be proficient in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to ensure the quality of AI-driven services.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

You will work closely with product managers, architects, and UX designers to translate business needs into technical specifications. Strong communication is required to align engineering efforts with customer goals and team standards.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Balancing AI Innovation with Enterprise Stability

Integrating cutting-edge AI agents into a mature, 24x7 business application like Dynamics 365 creates a tension between rapid experimentation and the need for high reliability. Prepare by discussing strategies for canary deployments, robust error handling in non-deterministic AI outputs, and maintaining system uptime.

  • Managing Non-Deterministic AI Behavior

Agentic systems often introduce unpredictability that is difficult to debug compared to traditional code. Prepare by explaining how you approach observability, logging, and evaluation frameworks to monitor AI performance and mitigate hallucinations or unexpected agent behaviors in production.

  • Scaling Complex Cloud Architectures

Building scalable services using Azure technologies (Service Fabric, App Service, Docker) requires deep knowledge of distributed systems. Be ready to discuss how you optimize resource utilization and latency when AI models are integrated into high-traffic, multi-tenant cloud environments.
