The Senior Manager (Data & AI) for Technical Solutions Engineering will lead and grow a regional team of Data & AI technical experts in India, focused on ensuring the resiliency and smooth operation of customer production workloads. This role oversees support operations during APJ and EMEA business hours, coordinating with global teams to maintain 24x7 coverage. The team is responsible for resolving complex data engineering use cases, including performance optimization, production job resiliency, and stabilizing workloads on new Databricks products and features. Responsibilities include: leading an elite team of specialists, growing technical expertise, engaging with top customers to support their Data & AI strategy, partnering with internal product engineering teams to improve platform supportability, and maintaining high reliability of the Databricks platform. Requirements: 12+ years in the IT industry with a strong background in Software Engineering, specifically in Data Engineering, Big Data, and Cloud environments. Must have at least 3+ years of people leadership experience. Candidates must possess hands-on experience in at least two of the following at production scale: Big Data (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), Machine Learning/AI projects, or Data Science/Streaming use cases. Spark expertise is highly advantageous. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field is required. Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and a customer-facing mindset are essential.
