About this role
The Group Specialist - Threat Detection will be responsible for developing and operationalizing AI/ML-based threat detection models across endpoint, identity, network, and cloud environments. The role involves designing and deploying detection use cases across SIEM and XDR platforms, building and tuning detection rules, and enhancing User and Entity Behaviour Analytics (UEBA) models to identify anomalies and advanced persistent threats. Key responsibilities include driving proactive threat hunting through automated workflows, integrating threat intelligence feeds, and collaborating with red teams to validate detection coverage. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field and at least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in threat detection or detection engineering. Required technical expertise includes hands-on experience with SIEM/XDR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Falcon, Cortex), proficiency in KQL, and a strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Experience in applying AI/ML concepts to cybersecurity, such as anomaly detection and classification models, is essential. Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications like GCIA, GCIH, GCED, AZ-500, or SC-200, and experience working in multinational environments. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work in cross-functional teams, and a proactive mindset toward continuous learning in AI and emerging cyber threats.
