About this role
Qualcomm’s Machine Learning Group is seeking an engineer in Bangalore to develop the Qualcomm Orchestrator SDK and related tools for Windows and Linux. The role supports machine learning and generative AI workloads on Snapdragon systems, with a focus on AI orchestration and inference runtimes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AI orchestration frameworks, SDK components and tools; implement and test ML workflow execution, including model loading, scheduling and runtime integration.
- Work in C/C++ codebases to support ML inference on Snapdragon platforms, and integrate and validate inference frameworks and runtime components.
- Debug issues, analyze performance across system and application layers, and collaborate with senior engineers, ML teams and platform teams. Participate in code reviews, documentation and unit testing.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related technical field. The posting specifies 1+ year of industry software engineering experience or strong internship or research experience.
- Programming experience in C and/or C++; exposure to Windows and/or Linux development; basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming and software design; familiarity with build workflows such as Make, CMake, Visual Studio or GCC/Clang. Problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills are also required.
Preferred qualifications
- Windows or Linux software development, shared libraries, application or runtime integration, and cross-platform development.
- Introductory experience with inference frameworks such as ONNX Runtime, SNPE, QNN or LiteRT; familiarity with model inference, execution graphs, quantization or optimization; and interest in generative and agentic AI.
- Python or Java for scripting, testing or tooling; debugging, performance profiling and Git. Coursework or projects in machine learning, operating systems or systems programming are preferred. SQLite or NoSQL experience and awareness of logging and monitoring are nice to have.
The role offers mentorship and experience with production ML systems and edge AI orchestration. No salary or working arrangement is specified.
