About this role
Graphcore seeks a leader for post-silicon validation and bring-up of a next-generation AI compute system-on-chip (SoC) in Bengaluru, India. The role focuses on getting pre-production software running reliably on new silicon and demonstrating that the SoC meets production standards for functionality, quality and reliability. The lead will manage a team working across silicon, firmware and platform levels.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the post-silicon validation strategy, covering architectural correctness, feature robustness and reliability at system scale.
- Direct complex debugging and issue resolution across silicon, firmware, operating systems and platform interactions, ensuring fixes are sustainable.
- Coordinate design, software and validation teams on quality goals and debug priorities; use data and clear communication to maintain alignment.
- Advance automation and the use of emulation, prototyping and large-scale validation infrastructure to increase coverage and reduce debug time.
- Report progress, risks and quality indicators to executives and key partners, and contribute to product-readiness assessments and roadmap decisions. Develop the team and continuously improve validation practices.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with 15–20 years in silicon, system or platform validation, including 5–10 years in technical leadership.
- Proven leadership of post-silicon validation and bring-up for complex AI, GPU or CPU SoCs; strong knowledge of SoC architecture, coherency protocols, power management and interconnects.
- Expertise in debug tools, DFT infrastructure and validation automation frameworks; proficiency in C/C++, Python and Linux-based environments.
- Strong cross-functional problem-solving, communication, collaboration and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred
A Master’s degree and experience with large-scale validation clusters.
