The Data & AI Delivery Leader leads the architecture and end-to-end delivery of enterprise data platforms and AI solutions at Trane Technologies. The role combines architectural strategy with hands-on solution shaping and execution, working across business and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, maintainable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own Data and AI solution architecture aligned with enterprise strategy, business goals and platform standards. Define reusable patterns for ingestion, transformation, data modelling, semantic layers, analytics, AI/ML and generative AI.
- Turn business needs into architecture blueprints and implementation direction. Scope and sequence initiatives, identify dependencies and risks, develop high-level estimates, and guide delivery from concept through implementation across product, engineering, governance, security and business teams.
- Guide cloud-native lake, warehouse, semantic and consumption architectures and governed data models. Lead solutions involving generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, enterprise AI assistants, knowledge retrieval, intelligent workflow automation and predictive analytics.
- Establish patterns for AI experimentation, evaluation, production rollout, monitoring and improvement. Ensure governance, security, privacy, responsible AI, operational readiness and supportability. Mentor engineers and share reusable playbooks and practical knowledge.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related technical field; 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, data architecture, enterprise data platforms, analytics delivery, AI solution design or related technology leadership roles.
- Experience leading complex enterprise data, analytics and AI initiatives; expertise in data architecture, modelling, semantic design and governed data foundations; and practical experience designing or leading enterprise AI solutions. Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, preferably GCP/BigQuery or an equivalent ecosystem, plus governance, metadata, lineage, quality, security and responsible AI. Requires cross-functional leadership, communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
Preferred qualifications include enterprise AI assistants or RAG, AI governance or model-risk controls, vector search and knowledge platforms, Git-based delivery, DevOps and CI/CD, domain-oriented data products, federated delivery, and approaches for scaling AI adoption.
The position is in Bangalore or Chennai, India, with a hybrid schedule: on-site Monday through Thursday and a choice of work location on Friday. The posting lists wellbeing, learning and certification reimbursement programs, employee resource groups, and eight paid volunteer hours per calendar year.
