01

Understand the role

What matters most

  • Agent-Based Solution Architecture

The core of this role involves designing and configuring intelligent agents using Agentforce and Agentforce Vibes. You must demonstrate the ability to translate business requirements into functional agent workflows, orchestration logic, and prompts while adhering to platform implementation standards.

  • Salesforce Technical Proficiency

As a senior developer, you are expected to maintain high standards in core Salesforce development. This includes writing efficient Apex, building responsive Lightning Web Components (LWC), and creating complex Flows that support the underlying infrastructure of the AI agents.

  • Integration and Data Management

You must ensure agents can securely and effectively interact with Salesforce data and external systems. This requires a deep understanding of Salesforce APIs, security models, sharing rules, and governor limits to ensure the solutions are both scalable and performant.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Balancing AI Innovation with Platform Constraints

Implementing conversational AI within the Salesforce ecosystem requires navigating strict governor limits and security protocols. Prepare by reviewing how to optimize AI-driven processes to prevent performance degradation or hitting API limits during high-volume agent interactions.

  • Rapid Evolution of Agentforce Capabilities

The role requires continuous learning of new Agentforce features. The challenge lies in maintaining stable, production-ready code while the underlying AI tools are frequently updated. Prepare by discussing your methodology for staying current with platform releases and your approach to refactoring legacy configurations.

Integrating Agentforce with External Systems

What to coverDescribe the methods you use to connect Agentforce with external data sources. Focus on the use of Salesforce APIs and how you handle authentication and data mapping while maintaining security standards.

Managing Salesforce Governor Limits in AI Solutions

What to coverWhen building agent-based solutions, how do you ensure your Apex code and Flow logic remain performant? Address strategies for bulkification and efficient data retrieval to avoid hitting governor limits during complex agent interactions.

LWC and Agent Interaction

What to coverHow do you leverage Lightning Web Components to enhance the user experience of an Agentforce-powered application? Discuss how you pass data between the agent's output and the UI to provide a seamless interface.

Conversational AI Fundamentals

What to coverWhat are the key considerations when designing prompts for conversational AI to ensure accuracy and reduce hallucinations? Suggestion: Focus on context injection, system instructions, and grounding the agent in Salesforce data.

Security and Sharing Models in Agentforce

What to coverHow do you ensure that an AI agent respects the existing Salesforce sharing model and security permissions? Explain how you prevent unauthorized data access when an agent retrieves information on behalf of a user.

Testing and Validation of AI Agents

What to coverWhat is your strategy for testing agent workflows and prompt responses? Discuss the importance of unit testing Apex components alongside functional testing for agent behavior and edge-case handling.

Maintaining Scalable Agent Configurations

What to coverAs a senior developer, how do you document and structure agent configurations to ensure they are maintainable? Suggestion: Emphasize modular design, version control for prompts, and clear technical documentation of orchestration flows.
