Associate - AI and Data Engineer

As an AI and Data Engineer at AirTrunk, contribute to the data and AI systems supporting its data centre and business operations. Working with senior engineers and platform teams, build production-ready pipelines, AI solutions and platform capabilities for operational efficiency, sustainability and decision-making. Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of AI and machine-learning solutions for automation and predictive use cases. Help integrate LLM-based applications using tools such as OpenAI, Databricks or LangChain, contribute to simple agentic workflows under senior guidance, and test and improve model outputs.
• Build, maintain and optimize batch and streaming pipelines for analytics, reporting and AI. Use SQL and dbt to develop tested transformations, integrate enterprise data, and support data quality, validation and monitoring.
• Help deploy and support cloud-based data and AI workloads. Contribute to CI/CD workflows, code reviews, engineering standards, MLOps and DataOps practices, model and pipeline lifecycle management, logging, alerting and production troubleshooting.
• Work with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical tasks, deliver integrated solutions and share knowledge.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering or AI/ML engineering, including exposure to cloud-based data or AI solutions. Experience building data pipelines and using SQL and Python for processing, transformations and basic application development.
• Exposure to platforms such as Databricks, dbt or Kafka; understanding of data modelling and lakehouse or medallion architecture; and some experience building or integrating machine-learning or LLM-based solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS or GCP and cloud deployment; understanding of Git, testing and code quality; awareness of data quality, governance and security; and strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Beneficial, not required: exposure to CI/CD, Docker or Terraform.
