AI Transformation Engineer

The AI Transformation Engineer identifies, evaluates and deploys AI-enabled solutions across ICT Engineering to improve productivity, accelerate development, strengthen decision-making and reduce time-to-market. The role connects engineering teams, AI specialists and business stakeholders, leading approved initiatives from opportunity assessment through deployment and measurable value realization. This is an on-site position in Bengaluru, India, in the electrical/electronic manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, assess current processes, gather requirements and define desired outcomes. Work with AI specialists to evaluate feasibility and determine whether AI, conventional automation, process improvement or a combination is appropriate.
• Establish baselines, value estimates, success criteria and evidence requirements with the AI Value Realization Engineer. Supply use-case requirements and implementation estimates for prioritization and business cases.
• Lead approved initiatives from pilot to full deployment, coordinating engineering, digital technology, AI development teams and subject matter experts. Manage validation, user testing and deployment readiness; prototype AI-enabled workflows using enterprise AI platforms, low-code/no-code tools and workflow automation technologies.
• Drive adoption and organizational change, monitor solution usage and performance, resolve implementation barriers, and validate realized benefits against project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and at least 5 years of engineering, product development, manufacturing engineering or related experience. The posting also states a 5–15-year experience range.
• Understanding of engineering workflows and development processes; experience leading cross-functional projects, managing stakeholders and applying AI, automation or digital technologies to engineering or business problems.
• Ability to translate business challenges into actionable improvements; strong communication and facilitation skills; experience rapidly prototyping AI-enabled workflows; and a working understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, failure modes, validation and human-in-the-loop considerations.
• Preferred: experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents or workflow automation.
