AI Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited seeks an AI Engineer in Bangalore, India, within its Hardware Engineering group. The role develops software, optimization algorithms and AI/ML solutions for system-on-chip (SoC) design problems, working with internal customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand internal customers’ SoC design problems and translate them into specifications for software, algorithms and AI/ML models.
• Design and develop high-performance optimization algorithms and AI/ML solutions.
• Test and deploy software implementations, then use customer feedback to improve them.

Minimum qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering or a related field, plus 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience; or a master’s degree in one of those fields plus 1+ year of such experience; or a PhD in one of those fields.
• Skills listed include software engineering, UNIX, Python, C/C++, Git, Docker, graph algorithms, combinatorial algorithms and optimization.

Preferred background: SoC domain knowledge and AI/ML experience are a strong plus. The broader Hardware Engineering group plans, designs, optimizes, verifies and tests electronic systems and collaborates across teams to meet performance requirements.
