New opportunity

AI Engineer

Mobility Global · Bengaluru, India

About this role

Join Mobility Global’s AI Engineering team to build conversational analytics products, shared AI services and agent platforms using automotive data. This early-career role offers production ownership with support from senior engineers. The team works across front-end applications, services, data and evaluation, and uses AI coding agents in its daily development process.

Responsibilities

  • Build Python-based LLM features, including LangGraph agentic workflows, retrieval and RAG pipelines, text-to-SQL, and tool and MCP integrations.
  • Deliver typed, tested FastAPI services with streaming responses, asynchronous I/O and appropriate error handling.
  • Create golden datasets, evaluation and guardrail tests, and traces to assess changes. Refine prompts, tool schemas and retrieval strategies based on measured results.
  • Investigate failures across retrieval, tool calls, parsing and entitlements, and add regression tests. Review AI-generated code carefully and collaborate with senior engineers, data scientists and product partners.

Required qualifications

  • 1 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong Python fundamentals, including async programming, type hints, testing and packaging. Hands-on LLM application experience with LangGraph or a comparable framework such as LangChain, LlamaIndex or an agent SDK, plus prompt engineering and retrieval/RAG patterns; this experience may come from professional work, internships or substantial personal projects.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, at least one vector store, embeddings, chunking, basic query tuning and REST API development, ideally with FastAPI. Daily use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot is required. The role also calls for clear communication, ownership, sound judgment and collaboration across time zones.

Preferred qualifications

  • LLM evaluation or observability tools such as LangFuse, OpenTelemetry, Ragas or DeepEval; MCP, multi-agent or human-in-the-loop workflows; and AWS deployment, serverless and CI/CD experience.
  • React or Angular and TypeScript familiarity; interest in data governance, semantic modelling, entitlements or analytics; automotive or mobility exposure; and evidence of open-source work, side projects, technical writing or community involvement.

The role is hybrid in Bengaluru or Gurugram, with location-dependent in-office expectations subject to change. Benefits include health and wellness coverage, retirement savings programs where available, and base salary with incentive opportunities where applicable; no salary amount is stated.
