AI Engineer – Manager

The AI Engineer – Manager works in PwC Acceleration Centres’ Technology Consulting practice in Bangalore, India. The role leads teams and client accounts while delivering software and AI solutions intended to improve client business performance and support digital transformation. It is a full-time position listed at 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering projects from planning and budgeting through execution and completion, taking accountability for delivery quality and technical standards.
• Design, code and test applications; manage application development and lifecycles; and develop solution and system architectures, including microservices for scalability and reliability.
• Apply architectural judgment across front-end and back-end systems and LLM or agent orchestration. Mentor team members, manage stakeholder issues and conflicts, and encourage effective use of new technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree, at least 8 years of experience, and oral and written proficiency in English.
• Proven delivery of production full-stack systems using React and Python, alongside AI/ML or generative AI solutions. Strong architectural judgment and deep familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI and ReAct, and with LLM orchestration.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, distributed systems, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, containers or Kubernetes, and security best practices.

Preferred qualifications

• A field of study such as artificial intelligence, business analytics, computer or data engineering, computer science, human-computer interaction, industrial engineering, information systems or technology, machine learning, management information systems, or software engineering.
• Strength in application design, Python and scripting, Agile software lifecycles, microservices, React Native and Flutter, and troubleshooting complex software issues.
