About this role
Magna seeks an AI Developer, RPA & Testing for its Intelligent Automation and Testing organization in Bangalore, India. The role develops AI-enabled prototypes and production solutions to improve automation, testing efficiency and decision support across HR, Payroll and Finance. It works with test automation engineers, RPA developers, business analysts and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain AI solutions, proofs of concept and reusable components using Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI services and Copilot Studio; integrate them into RPA workflows and test automation frameworks.
- Build modular data-processing, orchestration and integration logic in Python and/or C#. Prepare and analyze business-system data using SQL, data pipelines, Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, and connect solutions to enterprise applications through REST APIs, event-driven architectures and secure integration patterns.
- Use prompt engineering, model tuning and evaluation to improve accuracy, safety and relevance. Implement logging, monitoring, observability, and unit, integration and functional testing. Follow security, privacy, compliance and data-governance standards for sensitive HR and Payroll data.
- Contribute to requirements gathering, technical design, sprint planning and reviews; provide estimates and technical leadership. Document designs and handover materials, and develop reusable prompt templates, practices and internal accelerators.
Required qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; 5–7 years of hands-on experience in software development, AI/ML engineering, data engineering or intelligent automation. Candidates need experience with Azure-based AI services and Copilot Studio, Power Platform or comparable automation technologies; proficiency in Python and/or C#; strong SQL and relational-database skills; REST API integration experience; and an understanding of RPA or test automation concepts. Analytical problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration are required.
Preferred
Databricks or Microsoft Fabric experience; LLMs, advanced prompt engineering or model evaluation; DevOps and CI/CD; test strategy and regression testing; Workday, SAP or Oracle HR/Finance exposure; Agile/Scrum experience; or relevant professional certifications. The position is full-time and regular/permanent.
