About this role
Magna is seeking a highly skilled AI Developer to drive the design, implementation, and scaling of advanced AI solutions within their automotive technology ecosystem. This role requires a strong systems engineering mindset to own the end-to-end AI platform lifecycle, including infrastructure, MLOps pipelines, production deployment, and performance optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solutions architects, data scientists, DevOps engineers, and product owners, to deliver reliable and secure AI services at enterprise scale. Responsibilities include building and maintaining AI/ML platform components such as training clusters, feature stores, inference services, GenAI, vision, RAG, and NLP systems. You will manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and ARM templates, implement CI/CD pipelines, and integrate AI services with existing systems. Monitoring performance, reliability, and model drift, as well as establishing incident-response runbooks, are key aspects of the role. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 2 years specifically building and operating AI/ML platforms. Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), and MLOps tools (GitLab CI, Argo CD, MLflow) is required. Strong knowledge of distributed system architecture, object-oriented programming, and experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph is essential. The role also demands expertise in data engineering tools such as Kafka, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory, along with observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders are required.
