01

Understand the role

What matters most

  • Production-Grade AI Delivery

The role emphasizes moving beyond experimentation to deploying scalable, reliable, and secure AI-enabled applications. You must demonstrate the ability to integrate LLMs, agents, and orchestration frameworks into existing enterprise systems while maintaining operational standards.

  • Technical Leadership and Standardization

You are expected to define engineering standards and create reusable components, frameworks, and accelerators. This requires mentoring developers and establishing best practices that improve the speed, quality, and consistency of future AI delivery across the organization.

  • Stakeholder Alignment and Requirement Translation

Success depends on your ability to partner with business and functional teams to translate complex needs into actionable technical solutions. You must balance business value with technical constraints, risk management, and security requirements.

Likely challenges to think through

  • Balancing Innovation with Enterprise Governance

Applying emerging patterns like agentic AI and tool-calling in a regulated enterprise environment creates a tension between rapid prototyping and strict security, compliance, and risk controls. Prepare by discussing how you implement 'human-in-the-loop' controls and responsible AI frameworks without stifling development speed.

  • Scaling Agentic Workflows

Moving from a single-agent prototype to a multi-agent, production-ready system involves significant complexity in context management, retrieval, and orchestration. Prepare by articulating your approach to designing modular, maintainable agent architectures that can handle enterprise-scale data and integration requirements.
