Onto Innovation seeks an Enterprise AI Solutions Lead to architect and deliver enterprise AI solutions and help business teams adopt AI effectively and responsibly. The position is listed in Wilmington, Massachusetts; Bloomington, Minnesota; and Milpitas, California.
Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end solutions covering data ingestion, model usage, orchestration, validation, security, and enterprise-system integration. Advise teams across IT, Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering on use cases and when AI is preferable to traditional automation or analytics.
- Co-lead a cross-functional AI champion network and create reference examples, patterns, and guidance for teams. Design and implement AI-enabled workflows, automation, and analytics; prototype ideas, validate value, and develop successful approaches into reusable or production-ready solutions. Integrate outputs into reporting, decision support, and operational processes with appropriate documentation and validation.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools for enterprise fit and risk, build ROI frameworks, and recommend adoption, pilots, or rejection with IT, Security, and Data & Analytics leaders. Use trusted, governed data and develop metrics for AI adoption and value. Establish architecture patterns consistent with data classification, least-privilege access, security, privacy, compliance, and IP protection; promote transparency and human-in-the-loop validation.
Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data & Analytics, or equivalent practical experience; 5–7 years of overall professional experience delivering enterprise technical solutions, automation, analytics, or software development.
- Experience enabling other teams to adopt technology and architecting enterprise-grade AI or advanced analytics solutions from use-case definition through production. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Hands-on Python, PowerShell, or other scripting experience; experience with enterprise AI tools and platforms rather than custom LLM development; and experience with Microsoft AI, automation, and data platforms.
Preferred qualifications include manufacturing, semiconductor, high-tech, or capital-equipment experience; familiarity with non-Microsoft AI tools such as Claude; technology evaluations or pilots; and work across cloud and on-premises systems.
The stated base salary range is $115,200.00–$172,800.00, with annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives.
