About this role
NVIDIA’s AI Safety & Security Engineering team builds and evaluates AI-powered tools to find, validate, and patch software vulnerabilities. This engineer will build the agent harness and supporting platform that make researchers’ experiments repeatable and trustworthy. The current direction builds on NVIDIA NeMo agent tooling.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the agent harness and the infrastructure used to run, evaluate, and reproduce experiments.
- Own environments, versioned tooling, and repeatable runs, keeping the path from environment through result visible.
- Work with security research and evaluation engineers to improve their workflows, diagnose failures, and reduce friction in internal tooling.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python engineering skills and comfort with containerized environments and CI/CD.
- Experience with agent frameworks, LLM orchestration, ML infrastructure, or evaluation harnesses; attention to reproducibility and versioned tooling.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA NeMo or similar agent frameworks; exposure to security tooling or vulnerability research; or experience building useful internal developer tools.
The posting lists Santa Clara, California, and remote locations in North Carolina, New York, Tennessee, and Florida. The base salary range is 152,000 USD–241,500 USD, determined by location, experience, and comparable employee pay. Equity and benefits are also offered.
