About this role

Kriya Therapeutics seeks an AI Engineer II / III for its Applied Computation & AI team in Research Triangle Park, NC. Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy LLM-based tools and specialized AI agents for work such as scientific review, competitive intelligence, experimental design, and manufacturing analysis. Develop custom AI skills and plugins using orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or AWS Bedrock / AgentCore.
  • Build and evaluate RAG pipelines and vector search over internal data, exposing it through MCP connectors and unified APIs. Connect the company datalake to AI applications through governed, production-grade data pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience with agentic systems and multi-step LLM workflows; RAG techniques including chunking, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval evaluation; and Python API development and integration using MCP and REST.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Bedrock, and IAM; Databricks or similar platforms; ETL, data modeling, structured and unstructured data; LLM prompting and evaluation; and Git, code review, CI/CD, and testing. Scientific curiosity, communication, independent project management, and the ability to address ambiguous stakeholder needs are also required.

Preferred

An advanced degree and life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical experience, including GxP-adjacent data governance and ELN/LIMS familiarity. The work is primarily desk-based in an office or home-office setting. Benefits include flexible time off, paid leave and holidays, health and insurance coverage, equity, and a 401(k) with company match.
