Cloud Infrastructure & AI Engineer

Capgemini seeks a Cloud Infrastructure & AI Engineer to design and operate scalable cloud environments that support AI and machine learning platforms. The posting lists New York City, NY; Chicago, IL; and Atlanta, GA as locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage secure, highly available infrastructure on Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM, Bicep or CloudFormation.
• Develop cloud-native architectures for AI/ML workloads; deploy, manage and monitor AI platforms, data pipelines and machine learning infrastructure. Provision AI-ready environments in collaboration with AI/ML engineers, data scientists and application teams.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage Docker and Kubernetes environments, including AKS, EKS or GKE. Establish monitoring and observability with tools such as Azure Monitor, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk.
• Address cloud security, governance, compliance and cost optimization; support disaster recovery, backups and business continuity. Evaluate emerging cloud and AI technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, plus at least 7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps or platform engineering.
• Strong experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform; hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes and container orchestration, CI/CD tools, and Linux administration and scripting with PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure and cloud-based AI services; strong understanding of networking, security, identity management and cloud governance. Knowledge of platforms or solutions such as Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI and OpenAI or generative AI is requested.

The listed base compensation range for the posted location is $100,000–$130,000. The posting identifies the contract type as permanent and notes potential eligibility for additional incentive compensation and benefits subject to applicable terms.
