About this role
AlphaLife Sciences seeks an AI Product Manager to develop and scale AI-powered clinical applications using generative AI and large language models. The role focuses on application-layer products that streamline pharmaceutical workflows and surface insights for life sciences. The position is full-time and hybrid in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Learn clinical and regulatory workflows, document types, and relevant life-sciences practices. Work with pharmaceutical clients, clinical teams, industry specialists, and AI/ML specialists to identify pain points and turn them into scalable product capabilities.
- Lead features from requirements gathering and specification writing through delivery and quality validation. Set roadmap priorities, create specifications using agile practices, and coordinate with Engineering, QA, and other teams on sprints and releases.
- Design and improve generative AI capabilities that use LLMs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management or comparable professional experience; experience designing and developing LLM-powered products, with a track record in product strategy, development processes, and execution.
- Ability to conduct independent user interviews and research, solve complex business problems, and communicate in English at native or near-native proficiency. A bachelor's degree is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship is required; the company cannot sponsor visas.
Preferred
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research settings; familiarity with FDA or ICH standards; experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other project management tools; and familiarity with generative AI workflows such as prompt design, model evaluation, or AI-assisted product features.
Compensation is $150,000–$200,000 USD annually, with equity and bonus offered. The posting also lists flexible work arrangements, professional development, and mentorship.
