Senior AI Engineer I

Schneider Electric seeks a Senior AI Engineer I embedded in its Secure Power team to use generative AI, automation and low-code tools to address operational problems. The role focuses on building production-ready AI agents, workflows and reporting tools that reduce manual work, improve data quality and cycle times, and give leaders better visibility into performance.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy AI agents, for example with Microsoft Copilot Studio, translating business rules and decision logic into clear, testable instructions.
• Design and maintain automated workflows, dashboards, integrations and supporting infrastructure using tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and Smartsheet.
• Work with process owners and team leaders to map existing processes, identify where automation adds value, redesign redundant steps, and develop prototypes and minimum viable products.
• Connect tools through APIs and automate work across Salesforce, Oracle, CPQ and SharePoint to eliminate manual data re-entry. Run pilots, gather feedback, iterate and document solutions for team use.
• Collaborate with the central AI team to meet governance, security, privacy and responsible AI requirements, including human review when outputs affect a customer or order. Guide and mentor other professionals on escalated or non-routine issues.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Ability to build and deploy AI agents in production; implement low-code workflow automation; map and redesign processes; integrate enterprise systems; and design prompts and agent logic.
• Strong independent problem-solving with ambiguous or undocumented processes, cross-functional collaboration, adaptability, curiosity about new technologies, and ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders. No specific degree or years of experience are stated.

Location and compensation: This is a hybrid, full-time U.S. position listed for Nashville, Tennessee; Boston, Massachusetts; and Dallas, Texas. The expected annual pay range is USD 101,600–152,400, including base pay and short-term incentives.
