About this role
As a Senior Manager in Bain’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG) TechOps Product Management team, define the strategy for cloud infrastructure, AI tooling and self-service developer platforms used to build secure, scalable internal and client-facing digital solutions. Work with Platform Infrastructure, the Architecture Center of Excellence, CyberOps, engineers, product managers and senior business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Set the product vision, roadmap and success metrics for builder platforms and AI developer capabilities. Translate infrastructure and AI strategy into priorities that balance delivery speed, scalability, governance and cost.
- Understand engineering workflows, identify friction points and prioritize the product backlog. Lead intake and roadmap governance, align delivery capacity with demand, and communicate progress and performance to senior leadership.
- Deliver secure, self-service infrastructure and AI development capabilities. Measure adoption, utilization, platform performance and cost; lead Agile execution across concurrent initiatives; and mentor product managers and analysts.
- Stay current with coding agents, LLM APIs, agentic workflows and other emerging AI developer tools.
Required qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and 8–10+ years of experience in product management, platform engineering or technology consulting. Candidates must have worked closely with engineering teams across the software development lifecycle, delivered complex enterprise platform products, and supported developer platforms, cloud infrastructure or internal engineering tools. The role requires knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Env0; familiarity with coding agents, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, MCP, evals and agentic workflows; hands-on prototyping ability; senior stakeholder influence; cross-functional leadership; coaching; analytical skills; and Agile product delivery experience. An advanced degree or equivalent technology, product management or analytics experience is preferred.
The role is hybrid, with at least one in-office day per week; travel may be required. Annual base salary is $172,000–$206,500 in Boston and $164,500–$197,500 in Chicago. Compensation also includes an annual discretionary performance bonus, a 401(k) employer contribution and benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, and life and long-term disability insurance.
